Who is Dr. Mathew Thomas?

In recent years, the landscape of professional and personal development has evolved significantly. What once revolved mainly around leadership coaching and leadership development has now progressed into a more holistic and impactful discipline — Mentoring. Organisations and individuals are realising that while coaching sharpens performance and development builds capability, mentoring goes a step further by enabling wisdom transfer, reflective learning, and long-term transformation.

Who This Programme Is For

Mentoring today is no longer an informal or occasional activity. It has become a strategic tool used across industries to nurture talent, accelerate career paths, strengthen leadership pipelines, support succession planning, and empower individuals in complex, ever-changing environments. With this shift, the demand for mentors who are skilled, ethical and professionally trained has become more important than ever.

Proper mentor credentialing ensures:
  • Professional credibility — Clients and organisations gain confidence knowing mentors have been trained, assessed and certified.

  • Consistency and quality — Credentialing aligns mentors to best practices, ethical standards and proven frameworks.

  • Competency-based practice — Mentors develop the skills needed to guide reflection, enable growth and support meaningful outcomes.
  • Progressive development — Structured pathways help mentors evolve from foundational to expert levels.

  • Trust and accountability — A credential demonstrates commitment to professional standards and responsible mentoring.

As an accredited training provider in India, Mentoring Think Tanks (MT²) offers a credentialing system aligned with global mentoring standards while being tailored to the cultural and organisational realities of the Indian ecosystem.
